Vocal delay device

In collaboration with our best buds at Electro-Faustus, we bring you DEATH WHISTLE.

Representing and communing with Mictlantecuhtli, an ancient God of death and the underworld, the Aztecs used terrifying and beautiful  hand-carved whistles in a number of ways. Researchers hypothesize they were used in battle, religious rituals, and celebrations. We bring you a new way to sonically celebrate whatever you wish with this unique device.

Picked up by an internal electret microphone, the user can use a 3D printed death whistle, their voice, taps/thumps/percussive sounds, etc into the device and then manipulate the signal with an internal lo-fi delay circuit. Built off the ideas of Electro-Faustus’ Strangulator vocal effect and our Anomalies delay, we have added the ability to send the ‘vocal signal’ into chaotic oscillation/feedback via the Repeats pot and momentary Chaos switch and using the two Time pots, warp the time of the signal.

• Internal trimpots for output volume and delay/mic’d signal
